GL18 Vic Ash Hardwood Glulam
Strong, stable and visually appealing.
Victorian Ash or Tasmanian Oak is named from the alpine areas of Victoria, Tasmania and New South Wales in which it’s grown.
Vic Ash timber usually has a straight grain but may also produce fiddleback markings and have visible gum veins. It has a course texture with the heartwood ranging from pale pink to yellowish brown.
Due to its low to moderate durability, Vic Ash is best suited for interior structural or decorative applications. Victorian Ash is very easy to work, cut, drill and fabricate engineered connections with. Being a sustainable material and readily available makes this a great way to bring warmth and beauty into any design.
