Croft House
Located in Inverloch (Victoria), the croft house pushed boundaries with stunning results
In 2011, David Martin approached Vicbeam to quote for this job. The project required a series of ‘ring beams’ to provide the circumference of the house. On top of this, it was requested that ‘Grand designs’ come and film the factory in operation for their television show.
GL18 Vic Ash Hardwood was the preferred timber selected and it required the beams to be curved to a number of different radii in the vertical plane. This was the architect ‘James Stockwell’s master idea and the result looks fabulous.
Since the house has been completed, we congratulate David Martin on winning the Master Builder award for this project in 2013 as well as taking out the National Luxury Project Home – $1 million to $2 million award
