Bolted Roof Trusses
Design and Build Architectural Trusses
Bolted Trusses made of Glulam beams are a visually appealing feature that can span large distances and provide much needed structure to a building.
One of the initial projects Andrew Wallace became known for included a span of over 50 meters across a swimming pool at the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
Vicbeam can assist with the design, manufacture and assembly for any project involving bolted roof trusses. One stunning example is the Penrith Baptist Church. This project required full technical drawings and a complete fabrication service, which meant the client received the laminated bolted trusses fully assembled and ready to install (pre-coated).Co-Wyn Building Group, in collaboration with the engineer and our drafting team ensured that the heights and levels of ground, columns and trusses were absolutely precise prior to manufacture. Together we were able to identify and work through critical issues which resulted in a seamless and satisfying solution for all parties.
The project is just one example of a Bolted Roof Truss project that require years of experience and technical understanding. Vicbeam are proud to have a number these project portfolios under its belt whether it is the magnificent Wonderland Trusses, Ballan Church re-development or the daring Port Fairy Waterfront; all Bolted Roof projects by Vicbeam demonstrate a level of quality workmanship with GLT (Glue laminated timber) beams.
Vicbeam are able to design and fabricate LVL and solid timber trusses even boldly, introducing curvatures to Bolted Roof projects.
The Nunawading re-development is one of the latest projects to include four Warren Trusses by Vicbeam. Each Truss member spans 23 metres and weighs 3,200 kilograms each. Please see below a video demonstrating Warren Trusses made GL18 Vic Ash Hardwood.
