Project
Horsham Special Development School
Celebrating Diverse abilities
It’s nice to be involved in a project and a building that is going to be significant in peoples lives. The Horsham special development school has been designed to cater for children with special needs. Studies have shown that being around timber can have positive effects on your health and we think this building would be a lovely place to go to school.
GL13 Radiata Pine glue laminated timber beams were used as the main timber beams that are highlighted throughout the building.
This project has received 2 awards by the Council of Educational Facility Planners Internationals:
- 2013 – Outstanding School Facilities, Winner for New Educational Facility Construction/Entire Educational Facility.
- 2014 – Commendation for New construction: Entire New School.
