This newly re-imagined Pure South Dining development comprises two levels in Melbourne’s Southgate complex. The river Level is an all-day eatery & bar where you can dine to suit your mood; unplanned, relaxed with friends. Sit at the bar or in front of the open kitchen to enjoy the beautiful produce, or catch someone for a drink and snack at the unique window seats that put you right on the buzzing boardwalk. The upstairs dining room is designed with a modern twist offering stunning views over the Yarra River. The glamorous upper dining room almost hangs over the Yarra River, with stunning views out through glass walls.
The design architect Zeljko Trkulja introduced glulam columns with steel pivoted base connections to create a stunning structural facade. The laminated timbers are made from modest radiata pine and coated with Cutek with walnut tint to enrich their appearance. The double columns provide striking symmetry and the integrated downpipes is a clever design touch.
