It’s exciting to be involved with a project that is both custom and in-demand. The Brunswick Bowling Club Pergola is a magnificent project that was made from GL18 H3 treated Vic Ash Hardwood. The rafters were curved to a 20m radius which were then bolted onto installed hardwood posts, creating an appealing pergola that would satisfy any timber enthusiast. Vicbeam supplied all the glulam beams prefabricated and as a result it was assembled within 2 days.
Changes are an integral part of a custom job and Vicbeam have demonstrated this throughout the Brunswick Pergola project. In particular, the connection between curved rafters and posts was changed from using steel plates to notched posts. This was an affordable feature both Vicbeam and partners was happy to utilise for the Brunswick pergola.
Many would agree that a Pergola is a beautiful feature to any kind of outdoor setting. The Brunswick Bowling Club pergola does not disappoint as it stands out from the entrance building and provides appropriate shelter for its members. Due to its outdoor settings, all GL18 Vic Ash Hardwood have been H3 treated and coated with Cutek Walnut to preserve and protect timber from different weather elements. The result is a long-lasting pergola made for generations to come at the Brunswick Bowling Club.
